'During the pandemic-imposed restrictions of 2021, Argentinian society faced an unrelated outbreak of femicides committed by members of the country’s security forces.

The Women’s Office of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation affirms that of the 231 recorded femicides, 25 were committed by security forces personnel, 7.1 per cent more than the previous year.
